Introduction to cyclohexylamine
Cyclohexylamine is an organic compound belonging to the aliphatic amines. Pure cyclohexylamine is a colorless liquid, but amines are usually colored by impurities, and cyclohexylamine is no exception. It has a fishy smell, mixed in water, aqueous solution is weakly alkaline, alkaline than aniline. Cyclohexylamine is an important intermediate in organic synthesis. In vivo, cyclohexylamine is a metabolite of cyclamate.

Production method and application
Production method
1. Obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of aniline, which can be divided into atmospheric pressure method and pressure method. In addition, cyclohexylamine can be prepared by catalytic amolysis of cyclohexane or cyclohexanol, reduction of nitrocyclohexane, and catalytic amolysis of cyclohexanone in the presence of hydrogen. Refining method: often contains aniline and water and other impurities. During refining, cyclohexylamine is first converted into hydrochloride, recrystallized with water, extracted with ether in alkaline solution after refining, dried with solid potassium hydroxide, and distilled in nitrogen stream. The aniline can be removed by distillation at 4.65KPa.
2. Using nickel or cobalt as catalyst, it is obtained by catalytic reduction of aniline under high temperature and high pressure. Cyclohexanol can also be obtained by catalytic reduction of phenol, oxidation to cyclohexanone, and then amination with ammonia to obtain cyclohexanamine.
Application
This product is used to prepare cyclohexanol, caprolactam, acetate fiber and nylon 6. Cyclohexylamine itself is a solvent, which can be used in resins, coatings, fats, paraffin oils. It can also be used to produce desulfurizer, rubber antioxidant, vulcanization accelerator, plastic and textile chemical additives, boiler water treatment agent, metal corrosion inhibitor, emulsifier, preservative, antistatic agent, latex coagulant, petroleum additives, fungicide, insecticide and dye intermediates. A sulfonate of cyclohexylamine used as an artificial flavoring compound in food, beverage and medicine. Also used as an acid gas absorber. Used as boiler feed water ph regulator. Cyclohexylamine is a volatile substance that easily reaches the entire system when administered. If the ph is lower than 5, the treatment effect of cyclohexylamine is unfavorable. It is an intermediate of synthetic desulfurizer, rubber accelerator, dye, antistatic agent, corrosion inhibitor, pesticide fungicide, insecticide, etc. Used as boiler water treatment agent and corrosion inhibitor, rubber accelerator, organic synthesis intermediate.

Property and stability
1. Chemical properties: Chemical properties of primary amines. A highly alkaline carbonate that absorbs carbon dioxide in the air to form white crystals. It can react with acyl chloride, anhydride and ester to form N-acyl compounds. It reacts with nitrous acid to produce alcohol. Reacts with formaldehyde in an alkaline solution to form hydroxymethyl compounds. Reacts with carbon disulfide to form dithiocarbamate. Reacts with aldehydes to form Schiff bases.
2. Cyclohexylamine is highly alkaline, so it irritates the skin and mucous membranes. Inhalation of the vapor can cause nausea and anesthesia, and absorption through the skin can cause allergies. Mice were inhaled with LC1004.3mg/L and MLC0.1mg/L. The maximum allowable concentration in the air of the workplace is 1mg/m3. The equipment should be closed, the device should be ventilated, and the operator should wear protective equipment.
3. Stability: Stability
4. Forbidden compounds: acids, acyl chloride, acid anhydride, strong oxidants
5. Conditions to avoid contact: heat
6. Polymerization harm: No polymerization
7. Decomposition products: ammonia
Storage method
1. Storage precautions: Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. The temperature of the reservoir should not exceed 30℃. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from acids and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities are adopted. Do not use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to spark. The storage area should be equipped with leak emergency treatment equipment and suitable containment materials.
2. Cyclohexylamine is strongly alkaline, which can absorb carbon dioxide in the air and quickly generate white crystalline carbonate. Therefore, the storage package should be airtight. It is packed in iron drums, 150kg or 170kg per barrel. Store in a cool, ventilated and dry place. Protect against the sun. Isolate heat and fire sources. Storage and transportation in accordance with flammable and toxic chemicals.
